A community forum is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the La Crescenta Library. Attendees will be presented with the conceptual plans from Los Angeles County Public Works staff regarding the Foothill Beautification Project Landscape medians on Foothill Blvd.
Our community is honored to receive $1 million to fund this beautification project from Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich to support a median landscape project along Foothill Blvd. corridor, from Briggs to Pennsylvania, in La Crescenta, CA.
A local team has been formed, and efforts are under way to develop this first phase of a long-term plan to improve the area with sustainable beautification and traffic improvement projects. The team, whose members represent the CV Town Council, CV Chamber of Commerce, LA Public Works, and community residents, has met several times to come up with the conceptual design. Additionally, they have walked the length of Foothill Blvd between Briggs Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue to get a first-hand look at where medians will be placed and how they will affect traffic flow and the walk and bike-ability of the community.
The next phase is to engage the community. Feedback and input from our neighbors and local business owners will be an invaluable tool in moving this project forward. The best way to serve the community of La Crescenta is through a cross-agency approach, and the intent is to continue our collaborative and cooperative efforts throughout this project. If you are unable to attend, please send comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following the presentation, questions and comments will be received from the audience. Light refreshments will be served.
